She tells her family and friends that she is going to France to spend the holidays with some family. However, that is a bold-faced lie and Leanne has no plans on going anywhere. She just doesn’t want anyone to know where she really is and it’s for a devastating reason.

While everyone thinks that she is in France, Leanne will really be hiding in Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) flat. She gets rid of him by saying that it would be best if Nick and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) get their own flat. However, while the father and son stay together for three months, Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) says they can temporarily live at her place. After all, she isn’t going to be using it because she’s moving away. So now Leanne has gotten rid of Nick, Sam, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and anyone else who might want to check on her.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Georgia told Digital Spy about Leanne’s Christmas tragedy and hinted missing the warning signs. The actress explained, “The fact that Toyah believes Leanne is physically distant makes it easier for her to enjoy the moment with the baby, feeling that Leanne is elsewhere being taken care of. That’s not to say that Leanne is not in her thoughts – and she is. Toyah is trying to call her and text her… But I think Leanne has done a good job to convince the world that she’s doing okay. Toyah so wants to believe that and maybe doesn’t quite see the warning signs.”

It sounds like Leanne might want everyone to think she is gone not just so she can be alone in her grief during Christmas. But because she might be planning to end that grief in a very permanent way. However, the flat belongs to Nick and most of his belongings are still there. He could stop by to pick something up and when he walks in, could he stop Leanne from taking drastic action to end her pain?

Considering that it is Christmas and she just lost a child, this is a heartbreaking and devastating storyline. As anyone who’s lost a child knows, it is a pain that never goes away. We will have to keep watching to find out what happens with Leanne, Nick, Sam and the rest of the characters.
