Corrie spoilers reveal that Daniel has gone through intense grief since the passing of his wife. After Sinead Osbourne (Katie McGlynn) died from cancer, Daniel tried different ways to cope with it. However, he was going down a dark and dangerous path, not just for himself, but also for his young son.

At one point, Daniel started a romance with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon). It was a complicated situation. There was the fact that Daniel recently lost his wife and was still grieving. However, as Sinead was on her deathbed, Daniel and Bethany kissed. They were seen, which caused all kinds of chaos. So, when the two sparked a romance after Sinead’s death, many people did not approve.
Then, there was the fact that Daniel mistook Bethany for Sinead at one point. If that were not enough, he actually proposed to her with his dead wife’s ring.

Coronation Street Spoilers -Daniel Osbourne Still In Mourning
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that even after coming back from the retreat, Daniel is still mourning. A part of him will probably always grieve Sinead and the life that they could have had together. Just recently, Daniel was talking to a photo of Sinead, which makes it clear he is not ready to move on. But in his desperation to take a step forward and actually live a normal life, he will start a new romance.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Nicky Helps Widow Move On?
Nicky looks a lot like Sinead, but that’s where the similarities end. When it comes to their personalities, Nicky is completely different. Speaking to Digital Spy, Mallard teased that the lawyer might be able to help Daniel move on.
“She is very bolshy and that is what attracts him. She is very opposite to Sinead because Sinead wasn’t like that, but they are both a similar height, both are blonde, and from the first glance, subconsciously, he will have been drawn to her.”

The actor added, “Maybe subconsciously, Nicky also reminds Daniel of Sinead in away.”
