However, there is the lockdown, which is just adding to his loneliness. He talks to a photo of his dead wife. During an interview, the actor discussed the crushing scene.

Corrie spoilers reveal that during the lockdown, many people struggle with loneliness. However, it is compounded by Daniel because of his recent loss. It’s just him and baby Bertie Osbourne since Sinead Osbourne’s (formerly Katie McGlynn) passing.

Daniel Osbourne Neglected On Corrie

Speaking to Metro about the upcoming storyline, Mallard explained that everyone thought after Daniel got out of the retreat, he would be fine. He seemed to be acting fine and he looked fine. However, people can learn to disguise the truth.

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) offers to come over and Daniel really looks forward to it. However, he ends up canceling.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that when Adam cancels, Daniel spends the night talking to a photo of Sinead, which sounds absolutely crushing. The actor explained to the publication,

“Daniel gets very excited about the prospect of Adam coming over, it’s like the smallest encounter becomes the biggest deal which is kind of like how it has been during lockdown! Daniel even makes some very bad fairy cakes but Adam bails on him and Daniel finds himself talking to a picture of Sinead. He sees her face and he talks to her as though she is there…”

It is teased that Adam tries to make it up to Daniel by inviting him to a party. However, everyone, there are lawyers who are all guzzling swanky drinks. Understandably, it is out of Daniel’s comfort zone. Then, he sees a woman named Nicky (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) and is immediately smitten by her.

“She is very opposite to Sinead because Sinead wasn’t like that but they are both a similar height, both are blonde and from the first glance, subconsciously, he will have been drawn to her. But she has a completely different energy to Sinead.”

However, here is the problem. Even though her personality is the complete opposite of Sinead’s, the two women look alike. While it is true that many people have a “type,” we don’t see anything good coming from this — not this soon, especially!

As fans recall, Daniel got together with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) after Sinead’s death. Like his dead wife, Bethany also had similar features. Now, we have Nicky who also shares those same characteristics.
