Coronation Street Spoilers – Seb Franklin Backs Out At First
Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) tells her son, Seb, that he doesn’t need a makeover because Nina likes him for who he is. After this serious talk with his mother, Seb decides not to go with Nina. Unfortunately, the latter already booked a hotel for them after the event. She’ll be disappointed when Seb tells her that he’s not coming. So, he changes his mind and decides to go with him anyway.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Harry Visinoni Confirms Makeover Will Push Through
In an interview with the media. Seb’s portrayer, Harry Visinoni, shared his opinion about his character’s makeover. The actor confirmed that fans will see Seb don a new style as he tries to impress Nina and her friends.
“We do, fortunately for everyone watching, yes! The full makeover,” Visinoni said.
“It’s interesting as Seb is so worried about fitting in with Nina and her friends,” he added.
However, the change will have a negative effect on Seb. He’ll start to question his identity and become unsure of who he wants to be.
“It’s ironic because he’s anxious about that with people who don’t feel like they fit in or conform to the rest of society,” the actor explains.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Seb Franklin Struggles With His New Look
“Seb questions his identity, being unsure of himself. He’s wanting to please Nina and is unsure of who he needs to be,” he said.
Seb doesn’t like to “dress up.” But this incident will help the character evolve by discovering who he really is and discovering how he can finally feel comfortable about himself.
The actor reminded everyone that Seb is the type of character who’s “largely been defined by other people throughout his life as he’s always fitted from one person to another, looking after his brother and sister or his mum, or Alina.”
Seb may not like his makeover but Visinoni does. He’s comfortable with the style. He’s even willing to cut Seb’s signature hair if the Corrie bosses asked him to. But for Seb, goth isn’t for him. It makes him feel a bit embarrassed and it negatively affects his confidence.
“I would do, yeah, definitely – if that’s what it demanded,” Visinoni admitted.
“I’m getting kind of tired of this mop! I feel like it’s too long at this point, but it’s become part of Seb’s character. The hair is definitely Seb at this point,” he explained.
