Coronation Street Spoilers – Leanne Battersby’s Devastation
Corrie spoilers reveal that Leanne tried to fight for Oliver Battersby (Jeremiah and Emmanual Cheetham). However, the court ruled against her and she had to accept that it was time to pull the plug. Since then, she has been struggling with her grief. She hid away in Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) flat. She overdosed and then begged Simon not to tell anyone she wasn’t in France like she claimed. She quit her job and now she’s spending tons of money on psychics who claim they can talk to Oliver. Plus, she nearly gets by a car while chasing a feather she is convinced is another sign from her dead son.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Simon Barlow’s Stress
With no money coming in and Leanne racking up charges, there is no money for food or paying the bills. This means that it is all falling on Simon’s shoulders. We recently saw him explode at Leanne over the psychics. His stress will continue as he falls in deeper with being roped into dealing drugs by his new “friend.”
Coronation Street Spoilers -Drug Dealing Storyline
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that things will just continue to get worse before they get better. Producer Iain MacLeod previously confirmed that while Simon’s life gets threatened by the drug kingpin, Leanne will put on her armor and do what is necessary to save him. It sounds like things will get pretty intense, too.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Jane Danson Teases Turnaround
Speaking to The Sun’s TV magazine, Danson hinted what viewers can expect as this six-month storyline gets underway. It won’t just be about Simon and Leanne, either. Other characters will end up getting involved.
“I don’t know what direction they’re going to take her in, but I certainly like it when she’s strong. So I’m hopeful this year maybe things will turn around a little bit.”
MacLeod added, “What we’re trying to do with Simon and Leanne is find a way to play their grief that doesn’t feel like grief stories that we’ve done and other shows might have done… That ends up drawing in Nick and Sam [Blakeman, Jude Riordan] – and it collides with Peter [Barlow, Chris Gascoyne] and Carla [Connor, Alison King] love story too. It is a grief story, but it’s far removed from being one woman sitting alone in a room and feeling sad.”
