Coronation Street Spoilers: Social Distancing Stunt Takes A Turn For Gary And Sarah

Coronation Street Spoilers show that stars Tina O’Brien and Mikey North filmed their first social distancing stunt for the British soap. This stunt included a dummy but they experienced some problems during the stunt. During the dramatic scene, the stars had to act out the of Sarah Platt running into the path of a car after discovering that ex, Gary Windass had killed someone.

This scene had to be filmed socially distanced, which meant no contact with each other. In order to do this, Actress Tina was replaced by a mannequin in order to perform the stunts while being mindful of the virus and social distancing rules. Mikey performed the stunt himself, which included jumping onto the bonnet of the fast-moving vehicle before being thrown off of it.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Social Distancing scene

This scene will show in an episode that will air next week. Next week Sarah will learn about the death of the loan shark, Rick Neelan, and that Gary was the one behind it. She will learn this after Rick’s watch is uncovered by a metal detector. During the scene, they will be running down the street with Rick Yelling after Sarah, “I’m still the same person! Sarah!” This will lead to her running into the street and Gary pushing her out of the way of a moving car and taking the impact himself.

Coronation Street Spoilers – First Stunt Takes A Turn

Mikey stated that the social distancing stunt was his first scene since he came back to the soap from the three-month lockdown. “I always ask to do my own stunts – I enjoy it, it’s one of the best parts of the job. I really enjoy getting bashed about.”

It happened to rain on the day that they filmed the stunt which made it tricky for them to film the scene. “It was quite wet on the bonnet and I thought I was going to lose my grip and probably get hit by the car,” he went on to say. “The first take was pretty nerve-wracking.” Tina talked about how the dummy lost her head and joked about how the dummy had outperformed her. “Some say it was an improvement.
