At first, they were told that it was just a one-off, but after his second seizure, they became more worried about their young boy. However, things got worse as they learn that he has had another seizure, with it being the worst out of the three. As he arrives at the hospital, he is still fitting. Yet no one understood why he was still fitting. However, it seems that they will get answers for their son’s fits, and they may get more information on their son’s condition.

When Oliver was rushed to the hospital, no one really understood why he was going through the seizures and what might have been causing it. However, they received news on what it could be, although not much more information. The diagnosis that they received was a mitochondrial disease.
This disease does not have a cure currently, but as Steve discovered is not a death sentence either as Steve said that some people with the disease could live a long normal life. Steve and Leanne have been trying to stay positive about their son’s recovery, but it seems that there may be more bad news heading their way.
Coronation Street Spoilers & Updates – Things Take A Turn For The Worse
As of right now, Oliver has been admitted to intensive care after the last seizure he suffered from, which was severe. He is currently under sedatives and has received a diagnosis of mitochondrial disease. His parents are trying to deal with the news that they have learned. The doctor will explain that they are going to begin to reduce Oliver’s sedation. Leanne has high hopes because of this and sends for Oliver’s favorite toy. However, they learn not too long after that Oliver may be suffering from brain damage that might have been caused by the seizures.
