David is at a low point but according to MacLeod the couple will eventually get on a more solid footing which gives him hope and stability.
He teased a possible second wedding for these two, to replace the one poor Shona can’t remember due to amnesia.
“It’s certainly been discussed,” said MacLeod. “To Shona, the wedding pictures she has been shown are just two strangers dancing in the bistro.” Don’t be surprised if the couple seeks to recreate the magic of that special day.

Fans have wondered about the long term stay of Gary Windass (Mikey North) but MacLeod wants to put those fears to rest. He called the handsome and talented actor, terrific saying, “I don’t want the ejector button pressed on this yet.”

But, Gary will get some unwanted attention in the future over his relationship with Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson)? McLeod says that when the big reveal comes out, “When people discover it’s Rick’s kid,” turbulence is ahead for several individuals.
Will Gary and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) still marry? Or will Gary’s murderous past get in the way?

Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) fans will be glad to hear that the fan fave will be seen more in the coming weeks. “I would agree that Toyah has been a little bit underused,” he said, “She is a fabulous character and Georgia is a fabulous actor so we are looking to fix that.”
As for Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) will mediate her tense relationship with her father.
