Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) will reap the results of his plotting as his ex Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) realizes he wants him back after a few years of separation. This sly fox manipulated Billy late last year by hiring Will, a fake abuse victim who tricked Paul into breaking some charity rules during his first moments as a volunteer at the charity helpline just to protect him.
Following Todd’s instructions, Coronation Street spoilers show Will smashed up Billy and Paul’s flat, which escalated to a bigger problem when Summer bumped into Will. As she rushed onto the street, a car ran her over. Bill pointed his finger at Paul for bringing Will into their lives, causing their relationship to turn cold, which led to their break-up.
The ITV soap has dropped its lines up for summer which stated that Paul will “go head to head with Todd for Billy’s affections.” More upcoming major scenes include Fiz and Tyrone’s custody battle, and Johnny finding out Jenny’s secret affair with Ronnie.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Tables Are Turning
Although Todd will have his “happy ending,” it won’t be long until the tables will turn. Fans have to find out when will Billy uncover the truth about Todd’s manipulative tactics.
Earlier in 2021, Corrie boss Iain MacLeod teased Todd’s greatest undoing will happen this year. “In a very explosive, dramatic–again quite thriller-ish–way later in the year, Todd’s machinations will all come to light and he’ll end up losing everything again,” the show producer revealed.
He told Metro.co.uk that he loves Todd and that Gareth has been the best portrayer of the character with his natural chemistry with Dan Brocklebank.
“We want to enjoy that character, really. We’re conscious that the best villains are ones that you enjoy hating and almost laugh at their sheer audacity. Todd has that capacity to be very funny and enjoyable as a villain,” he added.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Peace After The Storm
However, Todd as being “Todd” and fairly a “Teflon,” Iain assured fans he will bounce back shortly after this upcoming setback as a new cheery storyline is planned for him.
“We are giving him a job in the Undertakers with George–it’s a brilliant double act. They are opposite to each other, George is fun and warm and Todd is just not. That will provide a spoke in the wheel for George and Eileen as well, there will be funny and interesting scenes too.”
