Coronation Street spoilers reveal that in Weatherfield Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) thinks she has Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) backed into a corner. And he lets her believe that by agreeing to confess to rape. However, Abi suddenly gets dizzy and collapses. When Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) walks in, she is horrified. Things get worse when Ray forces Debbie to become an accomplice.

Abi Franklin Drugged

Corrie spoilers reveal that Abi (Sally Carman) records Ray talking about what he’s really doing. Then, she brags about the evidence she has and waves her cell phone in Ray’s (Mark Frost) face. She gives him 24 hours to confess to raping Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) or the recording goes public. Backed into a corner, he agrees. However, he has damage control in mind and takes drastic action against Abi.

Unknown to Abi, she is about to be attacked. As she’s standing in the Bistro thinking she has the upper hand, Ray strikes. Suddenly, Abi feels dizzy and falls to the floor. She is unconscious after Ray drugs her. Just then, Debbie walks in the door and is horrified to see Abi lifeless on the floor. She tries to call for help, but Ray stops her.

Ray Crosby’s Forced Accomplice

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Ray forces Debbie to help him cover up the crime or suffer the consequences. Debbie (Sue Devaney) can’t believe Ray would do something so sinister, obviously not realizing the type of person she has been helping. He is going to force her to be an accomplice, but what will she do?

Coronation Street Spoilers: Debbie Webster’s Dilemma

Speaking to The Sun, executive producer Iain MacLeod previously teased that Ray and Debbie would get into a battle over Abi. He said, “There’s some fantastic stuff there where Abi takes Ray on and her life is in a fair amount of jeopardy. That, in turn, draws in Kevin [Webster, Michael Le Vell] and Debbie – as they end up in Ray’s crosshairs as well. There’s a really brilliant power struggle between Debbie and Ray, which has twists and turns – with literal life-or-death jeopardy. It’s all really exciting.”

As for Debbie’s dilemma, the actress said in an interview last year that the character really believes she is doing the right thing by helping Ray. In her mind, she is bringing jobs to the street. Plus, there is a history between Ray and Debbie. The two were a hot item many years ago, but Ray hurt her. That is when Debbie threw herself into work. So, now that she has no job and lost everything, Ray is taking advantage of that. He is also using their old feelings to get Debbie to do what he wants.

With that being said, evil never wins in soaps. We have a feeling that Debbie will be redeemed and takedown Ray for good.
