Coronation Street Spoilers: Summer Spellman Reveals Why She Agreed To Surrogacy Plan

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) reveals the truth why she agreed to the surrogacy plan for Mike (Tom Lorcan) and Esther (Vanessa Hehir). It all came out during a surrogacy consultation, which she attended together with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Mike, and Esther.

During the meeting, Billy talked about Summer’s recent struggles, including her diabetes, which left Mike and Esther feeling disgruntled. Billy discussed Summer’s disordered eating, running away from home, and leaving school.

Summer tried to explain that there was more to the story and that it was “not that black-and-white” however, the counselor recommended against Summer’s surrogacy plan. But that won’t stop Summer from trying another clinic. Even so, Billy will do all he can to stop her from making a huge mistake.

That’s when Summer revealed that she didn’t want to do this but had to because of what she did to Mike and Esther. She believes that it’s the only way to pay them back after causing them so much hurt.

Later on, Billy shares his fears with Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and also tells them that Mike seemed to have been drinking heavily last night.

Paul and Todd’s Investigation

Meanwhile, Summer’s other parents, Paul and Todd, feel that Mike and Esther are hiding something. Spoilers hint that Summer will find herself in grave danger as her surrogacy plan continues.

Paul wants to pay off Mike and Esther so they’ll leave Summer alone. But they eventually get more information that would make them even more suspicious about the couple.

Leanne Battersby recognizes Mike while he was talking to Summer. She recalled him as the drunken man who tried to flirt with her at the Bistro. She tells Billy about it and the latter informs Summer, too.

Todd also tells Summer that a woman got in touch with him and said that she had an affair with Mike. When Summer told Esther about it, the latter said that it was all in the past. But things turn for the worse when Summer visits the couple’s house only to be trapped in their nursery without her phone and insulin.

What do Mike and Esther plan for Summer? Why did they trap her in their nursery? What will happen to Summer without her insulin? Will Billy find Summer before it’s too late?
