DWTS Season 32 Spoilers – Julianne Hough Replaces Tyra Banks As Host!
When she joins co-host Alfonso Ribeiro in season 32, Julianne will have come full circle on Dancing With The Stars. Hough first made an impression on DWTS season 4 as a professional dancer. And she took home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy with her amateur partner Apolo Ohno, noted TV Insider.
But the pro dancer didn’t stop there. And season 5 saw Julianne score again with partner Hélio Castroneves. However, Hough then stepped away from Dancing With The Stars. And she explored career options such as acting. But as her Instagram shows, Julianne’s DWTS fans still love her from her years on the show. And that makes her a popular choice to replace controversial Tyra Banks.
Judges for the upcoming DWTS season include Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. And watch for Derek and Julianne to reunite on the show. The siblings as a team won more seasons of Dancing With The Stars than any pro. However, season 32 also will air without Len Goodman, who shared his retirement during the season 31 finale.
Tyra Banks Shares DWTS Exit After Replacing Tom Bergeron
Some Dancing With The Stars fans still miss Tom Bergeron. And when Tyra announced her exit, Tom’s followers hoped that he would return as DWTS host. However, Banks didn’t mention any potential replacements when she dished on her decision to exit.
“I feel it’s really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV — but behind the scenes,” announced Tyra. “I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor… from the ballroom to the boardroom.” But in contrast, Banks’ replacement, Julianne Hough, has shown her dedication to dance for decades.
For instance, after exiting as a pro dancer, Hough made comebacks as a guest. And in 2014, Julianne took on a full-time position as a judge for season 19. As a result of her dance skills, she took home an Emmy for Dancing With the Stars choreography in 2015.
In addition to Hough replacing Banks for Dancing With The Stars season 32, the show will return to its format of three judges. However, pro Cheryl Burke revealed her retirement from dance in season 31. But she then shared an interest in becoming a member of the judging panel after Goodman retired.
