Ezra Sosa, known for his performances on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS), recently shared his interest in expanding his presence in reality TV.
During an interview at the DIRECTV x PEOPLE EW Reality TV Party on September 26, Sosa revealed he wouldn’t mind participating in a different reality show if he weren’t involved in ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
When asked which show he would consider joining, Sosa responded without hesitation, mentioning Dance Moms and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
“Honestly, I’d probably choose Dance Moms or The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. We grew up Mormon in Utah, so we watched that and I’m like, ‘Facts, sis,'” the professional dancer didn’t hesitate to respond when asked, “If not Dancing with the Stars, what reality show would you want to be on?”
Dancing With The Stars – Sosa Expresses More Enthusiasm For ‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’
His enthusiasm for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives doesn’t stop there. Sosa expressed interest in inviting the cast to Dancing with the Stars.
“I actually want to invite the cast to the show. If you’re part of that cast, please hit me up! I would love to get you tickets and dance with all of you,” he added, playfully repeating his request, “Please, please.”
The unscripted Hulu series has captured the attention of many, including Sosa. Its first season, which premiered in September, gave audiences a look into the lives of Demi Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, Jennifer Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Whitney Leavitt, Mayci Neeley, Layla Taylor, and Taylor Frankie Paul.
The show gained significant buzz after the group’s viral 2022 “soft swinging” scandal, leading Hulu to renew it for a second season, which is expected to air in spring 2025.
Although there is no confirmed filming schedule for the new season yet, Sosa’s recent elimination from Dancing with the Stars on September 24 may free up his schedule for other opportunities.
Sosa’s Experience On ‘Dancing With The Stars’
Sosa had been paired with Anna Delvey, a convicted con artist whose exit from the show stirred media attention. After their elimination, Delvey famously remarked that she had taken “nothing” from her experience on DWTS.
Sosa anticipated Delvey’s dramatic exit, commenting, “I knew she was going to say something very iconic and something very ‘Anna Delvey’ with her exit. Of course she has to — it’s very typical. We would expect nothing less of her.”
He added that Delvey had apologized to him repeatedly, saying, “She honestly kept on apologizing to me. She felt super sorry that my first season was cut short.”
Dancing with the Stars continues to air every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available to stream on Hulu the following day.
Meanwhile, the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu, offering more drama that Sosa and many others can enjoy.
