Dancing With the Stars News: Gleb Savchenko’s Unable “To Care For Daughters” Claims His Ex

Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) news shows that pro dancer Gleb Savchenko is still ironing out the details of his split from Elena Samodanova, the mother of his two children. The divorce has been finalized but now she is demanding primary custody of their two daughters, Olivia, 11, and Zlata, 4.

Elena Samodanova says she wants primary custody of their children, citing her ex’s busy work and travel schedule. Gleb is now participating in the Dancing With the Stars: Live tour. It runs through the end of the month.

Documents filed on Feb. 27 by Elena, “claims that the Dancing With the Stars pro is unable to implement their parenting plan for their daughters, and seeks primary custody of their daughters, adding that he has allegedly “refused to amend” the schedule amicably,” according to E! The outlet notes that this is the second time that Elena has asked for primary custody since her divorce from Gleb was finalized last October.

Dancing With the Stars News: Who Will End Up With Primary Custody?

E! News has looked at the documents filed by Elena in which she claims that at the time of the divorce judgement, she, “agreed to alternate parenting time every five days,” but that later, his “schedule changed, and he was not available to take care of our daughters.”

“Due to [Gleb’s] long work hours and travels in 2022, he is unable to exercise custody pursuant to current parenting plan,” her filing states. “Notwithstanding the foregoing, [he] refused to amend the schedule amicably and I was forced to file the pending RFO [Request for Order]. [His] counsel confirms that he will be out of town until May 2022.”

On Jan. 24, Gleb was back in Los Angeles to see his daughters and he posted video of the visit on his Instagram. He captioned it, “Perfect day with my girls even if I got to see them for less then 8 hours. Now fully ready and recharged to go back on a road @dwtstourofficial.”

Elena’s filing indicates that a meeting is scheduled for March 10, and a hearing is due to take place March 21, both when Gleb will be on tour. “According to the documents, Gleb informed Elena that he will be in Los Angeles then and can attend remotely.”

Elena filed a similar request for full-time physical custody last December, plus additional child support, People reported.
