Unfortunately, this dancing pro won’t be showing off his talent and skills on the dance floor during Dancing With The Stars Season 28. As a matter of fact, Artem Chigvinstev is quite upset that he was pink slipped from the show. Here’s what he has to say.
According to reports, Artem – who is currently dating Nikki Bella – has revealed that he was quite upset that he was dropped from the show, even though he was with the series for the last ten years. Artem even says that he was pretty certain that he would be returning to Dancing With the Stars, seeing how he had some pretty positive conversations with the show’s producers. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out in his benefit as he has been officially dropped from the lineup.
Dancing With The Stars Spoilers – A Massive Shock To The System
Artem made his comments during his girlfriend Nikki’s podcast. He admits that getting that ill-fated phone call from the show’s producers turned out to be a massive shock to the system for him. Artem also added that after dedicating the past decade of his life to the show, getting let go felt like a punch in the stomach for him.
He said, “It’s not even a job, it’s a lifestyle if you’ve been doing it for a very, very long time. There was never really a thought in my mind that I [wasn’t] going to be doing it. … But getting this call and [hearing], ‘There’s going to be no involvement in the show from now on’ — it’s like going through a breakup after 10 years.”

DWTS Spoilers – Dancers Put On Hold
If that weren’t enough, Artem also added that Artem and several other dancers were put “on hold” since March, which meant that they couldn’t dance or pick up projects elsewhere until the final decisions were made.
Apparently, Nikki wasn’t too happy about the decision, either. She added, “They’ve had these dancers on hold since March. And they don’t give them compensation for it. They’ve been all unemployed since March. That made me really upset, because how do you put people on hold and then cut them last minute?”
Artem also questioned whether or not the producers thought he was good enough for the show. So far ABC has not made any comments about Artem’s complaints.
