DWTS’ Gleb Savchenko & Danica McKellar In Swing For Romance

There’s exciting news for Dancing With the Stars fans as Gleb Savchenko will be starring in his first movie. In fact, he will be starring alongside Danica McKellar in the Great American Family movie, Swing For Romance. Read on to learn more about the movie and see images shared by both lead stars.

Recently, Dancing with the Stars pro, Gleb Savchenko made an announcement on Instagram of his first movie role. He will be starring in the rom-com Swing for Romance and is “grateful and thrilled” over his acting debut. Even better, Gleb will lead opposite Full House star Danica McKellar in the Great American Family movie. Moreover, David Haydn-Jones will also be starring. Savchenko captioned the post, writing:

Meanwhile, Danica was quick to respond to Gleb’s post, writing, “You were incredible to work with in every way!! And I’m so excited for the world to see you shine in a whole new way, my friend!!”

Moreover, Gleb shared several images taken on the set of the Great American Family rom-com.

McKellar also made a series of Instagram posts revealing scenes from Swing For Romance in which she said they mentored each other. In the movie, Gleb plays Danica’s character’s ex-fiancé and former dance partner, who end up working together again. Due to this, the movie includes many dance scenes.

According to ABC, Haydn-Jones also had to have some dance lessons, and he also dances with Danica. Apparently, the Supernatural alum has never danced in a movie before. However, David and Danica have starred together before in My Christmas Dream on Great American Family.

Plot of Swing For Romance

A brief synopsis of the movie is that Christine Sims (McKellar) returns to her small hometown for the Fall Festival. However, things aren’t too great in the town when she arrives. Her family owns the General Store and their business is in trouble. In an effort to turn things around, Christine convinces her former fiancé Alex (Savchenko) to dance together again. While Christine and Alex prepare for the big event, she starts to open her heart again. Can Christine save the General Store and find love again?

When does Swing for Romance premiere?

While the actual premiere date is not yet available, the movie will air on Great American Family at some time during September 2023.
