“I feel it’s really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV,” revealed Banks. “But behind the scenes.” And the DWTS host made her plans to quit clear. “I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor… from the ballroom to the boardroom,” summed up Tyra.
However, Banks shocked DWTS producers and fans with what seemed like a sudden decision. But weeks ago, Tyra actually hinted at her career change in an interview. And the 49-year-old shared that she wanted to shift from the entertainment world to focus on her ice cream business, Smize & Dream, according to the Sun.

Looking back on her career, Banks revealed that she actually wanted to start her ice cream business many years ago. But she set aside her dreams to focus on The Tyra Banks Show. And the DWTS host explained, “I know that you can’t start two businesses at the same time, and have them both be successful- they’re both going to fail!”
