As fans may have heard, Jennifer Horton will also have a different look. The character has been played by Melissa Reeves for many years. However, she just welcomed two new grandchildren and lives on the East coast. Due to her growing family and the COVID-19 pandemic, Reeves decided she was not going to commute to Los Angeles for work at this point in time. There is no word on how long she could be gone.

Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal that Tina Huang has been chosen to replace Laura Kai Chen as DA Melinda Trask. We saw her earlier this week when she showed up in Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) interrogation room. She can’t make Kristen pay for murdering her daughter, Haley Chen (Thia Megia). However, she is determined to send the fugitive away for stabbing Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).

With Reeves out of the picture, for the time being, soap alum Cady McClain has been picked to take over the role of Jennifer. Right now, this is being called a temporary recast, but we will see what the future brings.
