Days Of Our Live Spoilers: 5 Things To Know About Cady McClain The New DOOL Jennifer Horton

NBC Days of our Lives spoilers reveal that there has been a drastic change at the NBC soap. Out is Melissa Reeves as Jennifer and in is Emmy award winner Cady McClain. Why the switch? The show has begun taping again following the coronavirus stoppage. Reeves commutes from Tennessee to Los Angeles to film and she chose not to return to California when production resumed.

Many fans are speculating that her recently becoming a grandma may have had something to do with the situation as well. After all, who wouldn’t want to spend valuable time with their grandchild? Melissa’s daughter Emily, welcomed a son, Woods, last month. And Reeves’s son, Larry, and his wife, Olivia, will have a second grandchild this month.

McClain has already begun filming and here are five things you need to know about this daytime superstar.

#1 Cady McClain Is Daytime Royalty

DOOL is not McClain’s first rodeo. She starred as Dixie Clooney on All My Children, as Rosanna Cabot on As the World Turns, and as Kelly Andrews on The Young and the Restless.

#2 Cady McClain Is A Terrific Writer

In 2006 Cady wrote a blog on the ABC website called, “Confessions of a Mad Soap Star.” It was an instant success and popular with her fans. When she left the show she continued to blog on her own website. Additionally, she has had a YouTube channel and she covered events such as the 2013 Golden Globe and Grammy Awards.

#3 Cady McClain Began Her Career At An Early Age

McClain’s first professional acting job was in The Music Man and Finian’s Rainbow at Fullerton College. She went on to work with Ron Rains in A Little Night Music at the New York Opera Ensemble, Quiet on the Set at the Westbeth Theater, Much Ado About Nothing at the Lincoln Center Stages, Comedy of Errors at the Hudson Theatre Guild, Barefoot in the Park at the Westbury Music Fair, Self Offense with the Cucaracha Theatre Company and other productions.

#4 Cady McClain Is An All American Girl

McClain is a California native and she attended three high schools in all: Corona del Mar High in Newport Beach, University High School in Irvine, and Hoover High School in Glendale, California.

Still, there came a point at which the beautiful and talented actress felt the pull of Broadway and she moved to New York City when she was seventeen. It would be almost a quarter of a century before she returned to Los Angeles in 2012.

#5 Cady McClain Is Married To A Soap Star

McClain is married to Jon Lindstrom who stars on General Hospital as Kevin Collins.
