Days Of Our Lives Alum Cody Longo Dead At 34
Cody Longo’s death at age 34 left his wife, Stephanie Nicole Clark, struggling. And Clark, 31, described the Days Of Our Lives alum as “an amazing father and the best husband. Our whole world is shattered,” revealed Longo’s wife via Us magazine.
Stephanie had become concerned when she could not reach her husband earlier this week. And so, after trying to reach him from her dance studio, she called police. They reportedly found Longo unresponsive in bed at a home in Austin, Texas. The Days Of Our Lives alum allegedly struggled in the past with substance abuse.
Turning to social media, Longo’s manager Alex Gittelson expressed grief. And he tweeted, “Devastated beyond words at the tragic loss of my friend and client, Cody Longo. My heart breaks for his beautiful family. You will be missed, brother.”
Hollywood Heights Alum Cody Longo Allegedly Battled Alcohol Abuse
Longo, known for Hollywood Heights as well as Days Of Our Lives, allegedly faced challenges with alcohol abuse. For instance, he faced a DUI charge in 2013. However, the actor avoided jail time.
But Longo did receive a sentence requiring that he attend alcohol education classes. And he also faced three years of probation. However, a family member told TMZ that Cody continued to battle alcohol abuse.
And the Days Of Our Lives alum even headed to rehab during the summer. But Longo’s family allegedly thinks he relapsed. As a result, they reportedly believe that alcoholism caused his death at such a young age.
However, Longo’s publicist at the time of his DUI called it “an unfortunate misunderstanding. Cody takes it very seriously as his focus is music and acting. He has a great team whom he was with the whole night,” claimed the publicist. “And we are taking the next steps legally to clear this up.”
But Longo also sought to deny the allegations. And he posted on social media at the time to his fans, “Everything is fine. I love you guys. Do not worry, stories always get exaggerated.” Cody also denied domestic assault allegations in 2020. The charge allegedly resulted from a fight with Clark. However, the actor was released on a $2,500 bail.
Days Of Our Lives fans will remember Longo for his time on the soap opera. However, he also appeared in “Bring It On: Fight to The Finish” and episodes of “Nashville.” But some see Cody’s role as Eddie Duran on “Hollywood Heights” as his most memorable role.
Stephanie’s wife shared that her husband struggled with himself for their children. The two shared a 7-year-old daughter, a 5-year-old son, and a 1-year-old son. Tell us what you remember about the actor. And after you share your views, check back on our site for more Days Of Our Lives news.
