Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – What Is “Christmas Is Not Cancelled?”

Days of Our Lives viewers may wonder what “Christmas Is Not Cancelled” is – Jen teamed up with fashion designer Ale Boggiano in a mission to donate 20,000 toys to children in need through the organization “Toys For Tots”. The Days of Our Lives alum came up with the idea during the Christmas season in 2020, when the covid-19 pandemic shut down practically everything, and that included the ability to gather for Christmas and give gifts, and in some cases, even to purchase gifts!

So many things changed and were “cancelled” due to the pandemic and its associated shutdowns Jen and Ale came up with the name for their organization of “Christmas Is Not Cancelled”. Its origins were simple, Jen explained in an interview at the time with Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

DOOL Spoilers – Jen Lilley Was Depressed By The Covid Shutdowns

Days of Our Lives star Jen, like many people was dismayed and depressed over the cancelling of many traditional Christmas activities. Her business partner, Ale and she had been talking about the pandemic and the associated shutdowns, and came up with the name. Later, they decided to partner with Toys for Tots, a longtime program run by the United States Marine Corp. Toys for Tots distributes toys and other gifts to children in need. The timing was perfect, coinciding with a Hallmark movie Jen had just filmed, “USS Christmas” which had a military theme. Days of Our Lives viewers can certainly relate to the depression that occurred when covid threatened to cancel Christmas itself!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – The Idea Was Wildly Successful

The former Days of Our Lives star found that “Christmas Is Not Cancelled” was wildly successful in 2020, and then Balsam Hill, a manufacturer of artificial Christmas trees reached out to Jen and Ale about partnering with them for a campaign for the 2021 holiday season. Eventually, they came to a decision to launch a much more ambitious campaign for this season. They are doubling last year’s goal for toys and gifts for Toys for Tots, and they are also supporting Childhelp. Childhelp provides resources and help for abused, neglected, and otherwise at risk children. This is something that many Days of Our Lives fans will want to support.

DOOL Spoilers – Christmas University

A new and exciting way that the former Days of Our Lives star and her partner came up with for people to become involved this year is “Christmas University”. Christmas University consists of a ten week program that kicked off on October 14. It features holiday-themed classes, virtual celebrity game nights, and other fun events. There is also a chance for participants to win prizes, including “The Ultimate Christmas Package”. Everything from Balsam Hill Christmas trees to Christmas sweaters and various sweepstakes are available through the Christmas Is Not Cancelled website, and those who want to help can purchase a toy bundle for a child for as little as $15.00.

That buys one toy, which isn’t exactly a bundle, but for some children, just one toy can bring them joy! Every purchase is worth an entry in the Christmas Is Not Cancelled sweepstakes. Prizes include a GAC (Great American Country) Family Christmas movie watching kit, Christmas wreaths made by Balsam Hill, gingerbread house kits, catered Christmas dinners, and the grand prize drawing called the Ultimate Christmas Package includes a Balsam Hill tree and décor, tickets to ChristmasCon, and a trip to Disney World! There is even an autographed album available signed by the Days of Our Lives star.
