Days Of Our Lives Alum John Kapelos Returns To TV With A Role On Scrubs

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that it’s been a hot minute since John Kapelos has been seen in Salem, as his character, Konstantin Meleounis, exited the canvas in 2024.

With that said, the actor is back on television, snagging a role on the 2026 Scrubs reboot, streaming on Hulu. More on this story, below.

Scrubs Revival Kicks Off Soon

The Scrubs revival will feature OG stars Donald Faison and Zach Braff, as well as Sarah Chalke, and debuts on Wednesday, February 25, with back-to-back shows.

The series will once again center on the drama (and laughs) that occur at Sacred Heart Hospital, and while some professionals and interns will change with this reboot, fans can expect to see Turk (Faison) and JD (Braff) there, as their bromance continues. Elliot Reid (Chalke) will also be a part of the Scrubs storylines.

The Scrubs revival is produced by 20th Television and ABC Signature, with executive producers Liza Katzer, Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, Randall Winston, along with Braff, Faison, and Chalk, leading the way. Show runners include Aseem Batra and Tim Hobert.

In addition, original cast members John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes will act as guest stars when Dr. Perry Cox and Carla return to the show.

Kapelos’s Role

Kapelos will play a patient during the February 25 episode, titled “My 2nd First Day”. In addition to Kapelos, Anna Maria Horsford, who was once on The Bold and the Beautiful playing Vivienne Avant, will guest star on Scrubs during the “My Return” episode.

As for Kapelos’ alter ego on Days of Our Lives, Konstantin was shot and killed, so there’s little chance he’ll return to Salem.

Still, the vile villain that aimed to squeeze out Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) fortune by trying to woo his widow, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), could make a comeback someday. After all, no character is ever truly dead and gone in the land of soaps, so only time will tell!
