Days Of Our Lives Cherie Jimenez Breaks Silence On Gabi Recast Rumors

Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal that rumors are heating up again concerning Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and a possible recast. Gabi has her company back after years of fighting for it. As Cherie continues to make this role her own and is now speaking out about the rumors.

Addressing Recast Rumors

Jimenez recently appeared on Slasher Scotty’s YouTube show. The conversation quickly turned to the speculation that has been there since Jimenez took over the role when Camila Banus exited.

The recast has been turned into an online rivalry and Jimenez is here to set the record straight. “There is no war. There is no animosity. There is no grrrr between Camila and I,” Cherie said.

Jimenez went on to explain that she and Banus have never even met or communicated in any way and she respects that. Jimenez went as far as to suggest that she and Banus actually meet some day and possible deflate the rumors.

“So that we could just take a picture and be like, ‘Hey guys, all right, enough is enough,’” she said. Cherie believes that the story online is far from what things are in reality.

Cherie confirmed that she is not leaving, clarifying her place on the show. Banus has no plans of returning as far as Jimenez has heard of.

All of this speculation feeds the drama but that does not mean that any of this is the truth. Jimenez is convinced that this whole rivalry only exits from posts online and nothing more.

Getting To Know Salem

Jimenez didn’t turn this into drama, she just talked about what the job was like and who she had been working with. Has there been any tension on the days set?

Jimenez says there hasn’t been. “DAYS has been nothing but amazing to me,” she said, adding, “The producers have been amazing. The show is so respectful.”

Jimenez went on to say, “I don’t know what anybody dealt with before I was there or what anyone’s situation has been, but I have been met with such respect and just honored, and really they have been so amazing to me.”

The transition to Gabi was drama free for Jimenez, she simply walked into a place to work without everything being a comparison, with the exception of fans online apparently. As for what comes next, Jimenez says, “I’m not going anywhere. I love this role,” she said. Not as a declaration, just as a fact as she continues to make Gabi her own.
