After the success of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem comes Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas starring Chandler Massey as Will Horton. No, Will is not back in Salem, but the writer is tasked with penning a Christmas story on a deadline and imagines telling it with his family and friends from back home in Salem.

This standalone episode will even have Eileen Davidson back as Kristen DiMera — again. She was in the first DAYS streaming series and just made an appearance as KrisDevil this week. As Will imagines his story, he does it with almost every Christmas movie you’ve ever seen in mind, so there’s no telling how Davidson and Kristen play into this story. Will Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen be there as well and will we see the other characters both actresses have played? One never knows what could happen in Will’s mind.

There’s also no word as to whether Zach Tinker returns as Sonny Kiriakis, Will’s husband. Tinker took over the role from Freddie Smith for Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem and was a big hit, along with Greg Rikaart as Leo Stark.

DOOL Spoilers – What About The Other Salem Christmas?

While Peacock will give us a Salem Christmas special, NBC will broadcast the traditional Days of Our Lives Christmas we are used to — with a twist. Just like in 1994, MarDevil will still be around for the holidays terrorizing the town as she desecrated churches all those years ago.

How will the devil storyline fit in with the stuff we are used to in Salem during the holiday season? Will she somehow ruin the annual hanging on the Horton Christmas ornaments? We can’t have her doing too much damage to our favorites, right? After all, we need those ornaments around for many more years to come.
