Days of Our Lives Coming And Goings: Is Louise Sorel Returning To DOOL?

A recent interview with former soap star, Nicolas Coster revealed that Louise Sorel is returning to “Days of Our Lives” in the summer of 2020. Coster’s interview where he noted the actress’ return to the sudser was recorded in November. The team behind the interview said, Our most recent Santa Barbara podcast includes an exclusive interview with Nicolas Coster, whose career in Daytime Dramas goes back to The Secret Storm.”

Days of Our Lives News – Louise Sorel Previously Declined Invitation To Reprise Role

Sorel played the role of Vivian Alamain on “Days of Our Lives” from 1992 to 2000. She reprised her role in 2009 and left Salem once more at the end of 2017. Back in August, it was reported that the show has extended an invitation to Sorel to reprise her role. However, the actress revealed that she was unable to accept.

“I was given a week to return for a Period of time. It was too short notice. I love Vivian. Maybe Another time,” Sorel explained.

DOOL News – Robin Strasser Takes Over Sorel’s Character

Prior to that, it’s been announced that Robin Strasser, Sorel’s friend, was briefly taking over her role as Vivian. The “One Life to Live” star came to Salem as the new Vivian last September. She was involved in a brief storyline arc that centered on Dr. Rolf (William Utay), who saved her from certain death.

With the recent news of Sorel’s possible return, Fans will surely be delighted to see her reprise her role once it’s been confirmed that she is indeed returning to “Days of Our Lives.”

Sorel’s acting credits include “The Party’s Over,” “The Return of Charlie Chan,” “Mazes and Monsters,” and “Crimes of Passion.” The actress has made more than 50 primetime programs and TV movies.

Her first daytime dramatic role was as Augusta Wainwright on “Santa Barbara.” “She also appeared as Judith Russell Sanders on “One Life to Live” and as Dort on “Passions.”

She won several awards for her role on “Days of Our Lives.” In 1994, she won the 10th Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Villain/Villainess. She earned the 11th Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Female Scene Stealer in 1995, Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role in 1996, Outstanding Female Showstopper in 1997, and Outstanding Female Scene Stealer in 1999.
