The week of January 4, 2021 brings big trouble as in Angelo Vitali (Angelo Tiffe). The big dog returns as Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) cousin on Wednesday, January 6. Think he’s going to yell, ‘Yo, Ava?!’

Tiffe was last seen as the big goombah in Salem in 2017 when Angelo told Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) to kill Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) to get even for Ava’s death.

Tripp did as he was told, then found out he had the wrong perp, oops. This time Angelo “Meatballs” Vitali will share scenes with Tripp’s Patch Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn).

The men are trying to discover the truth about Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) rapist. Hopefully Angelo will help and not hinder the investigation. Fans know that Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) Ava’s other son is the attacker which explains four DNA tests pointing to Tripp.

That was Will Horton (Chandler Massey) in town for a hot second to say hey to his loved ones. He had to get back to Arizona, and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), who fans saw virtually as the couple rang in the New Year. These two showed they still have it, even when one is off camera. Maybe TPTB will rethink the decision to let the characters go? Both are legacy characters, and one came back from the dead for gosh sake.

On Thursday, January 7 Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams) will be seen again. She’ll interact with Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and his wife Lani Grant (Sal Stowers). Valerie is there to see her grandkids, twins, who were not named for her. Instead, the plucky pair named their babies Carver after Lani’s dad Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Jules after Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

Maybe Valerie will score a middle name for one of her grandkids? Who else is happy that Elani are back on track for parenthood?
