Days Of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Alison Sweeney’s Next Return, Sami Brady Stays Around For A While

NBC Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal that Alison Sweeney has made a new deal with the NBC soap opera. When production resumes in September 2020, expect to see Sami Brady shortly after that in a brand new storyline that is being described as “emotional.” She will return in late 2020 and stay for a longer period of time, for most of 2021, Deadline reports.

Days Of Our Lives  – Sami Brady’s Current Storyline

DOOL comings and goings reveal that Sami’s current storyline revolves around Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and her baby. While Allie has disappeared, she left a letter giving her son to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). However, Sami refuses to accept that and will do whatever is necessary to take the baby from Nicole. This includes battling her in a court of law.

Production Resumes Next Month

Right now, the NBC soap opera actors are not back at work yet. Previously, it was announced that production would resume on September 1, 2020. However, that date could be moved up or postponed a bit depending on several factors.

We are already hearing about the cast members that are returning to the set when production resumes. It seems that Sami is going to return around that time, or a little bit after filming restarts. We know that her current stint ends in September 2020, but she’ll be back in “late 2020” for a new story.

Days of Our Lives comings and goings from Deadline confirm that Sweeney has struck a new deal with the soap. The report states that Sweeney will appear in new episodes in late 2020 and her stint will be longer than usual. Expect her to stick around Salem until late 2021.

Long, Emotional Storyline

All that is known about the upcoming storyline is that it will be an emotional one for Sami. Fans are speculating on social media what it could be about. The most common theory bouncing around seems to be about EJ DiMera (formerly James Scott). However, we will just have to wait and see what the writers have cooked up for Salem’s scandalous schemer!
