‘DOOL’ spoiler news about Barash has left fans wondering, is Christopher set to return to the NBC daytime drama? It is highly unlikely that the daytime drama will write Stefan out. ‘DOOL’ films up to six months in advance, which makes it possible that writers could end the front burner storylines for Stefan.

If Tyler Christopher were to return, how would ‘DOOL’ writers make the transition from Barash back to Christopher as Stefan? ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reported previously that Stefan is right in the middle of a huge story arc.

Christopher opened up about his exit from ‘DOOL’ not long after his departure. He explained that though his time as Stefan was nothing short of pure fun, he had personal reasons that made it difficult for him to continue on in the role at that time.

Those personal reasons included the toll traveling back and forth from Indiana, where his wife Brienne and children Greyson and Boheme were living with her family at the time, to Los Angeles, where ‘Days of Our Lives’ is filmed was taking on family life. Christopher revealed that he needed time off to focus on family and deal with other issues in his life. The actor had previously struggled with alcohol addiction.

During the Soaps In Depth interview, he revealed, “Alcohol addiction is something I’ve battled since I was a teenager. I’ve had some amazing success with it and some really awful failures.” At the time of the interview, it is not known if ‘General Hospital’ alum (Nikolas Cassadine) was struggling with his sobriety.

Barash is also an alum of the ABC soap opera ‘General Hospital.’ He portrayed mobster Johnny from September 18, 2007 until May 3, 2013. He was married to Kirsten Storms (‘General Hospital,’ Maxie Jones) and the former couple has a 5-year-old daughter Harper Rose.
