He visits a prisoner and then joins Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) at the mansion. Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) gets a surprise visitor in prison. As for future casting news, Vivian Alamain returns in 2021 with a brand new face.

DOOL comings and goings reveal that Thaao Penghlis hinted his return on Instagram months ago. However, sometimes his posts mean he’s coming back to the NBC soap opera. Other times, it is just a tease or him sharing fond memories with fans. Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Tony will be arriving in Salem on December 18. Before heading to the mansion to celebrate Christmas, he stops at the prison to see Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Tony won’t be coming to Salem by himself. His wife, Anna, (Leann Hunley) will be with him. We will see her reappear on the December 18 episode. When she reunites with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), she has some news. Anna delivers an ominous warning about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).

Instead, the mad scientist is surprised to see Chad. It seems that Chad overheard some information… most likely when Gwen talks out loud to Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait. Has Chad figured out Dr. Rolf and Gwen’s schemes?

On Twitter, actress Robin Strasser shared exciting casting news, but it wasn’t about herself. However, it was regarding VIvian Alamain being recast, a character that has been played by both Strasser and real-life friend Louise Sorel.
