Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – The Ending Of An Era

DOOL comings and goings reveal that Hope Brady’s disappearance from Salem will mark the end of an era. The actress worked on the NBC soap opera for 37 years. During that time, she was the focus of many storylines. Hope was also a fan-favorite character who chose to respect the viewers rather than wait to announce she was leaving the show.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Alfonso wanted to be honest, direct, and upfront with her fans. She didn’t think it would be right to not announce her exit until it was close to her final scenes airing. So, she announced the news on social media immediately after making the decision.

Days Of Our Live Spoilers – Hope Brady’s Last Scenes Not Filmed

Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal that when Alfonso decided to leave, production halted due to COVID. She has a stack of “open scripts,” which means those scenes have not been filmed. Alfonso said she wouldn’t be returning when production resumed and already filmed her last episode. She didn’t say she filmed her exit scene. (There is a difference). She clarified that to ET, which means one day Hope will be in Salem and the next she’ll be gone.

She made her decision once executive producer Ken Corday told her she would be taking a break for five months. Her character would return with a Navy seal story. Going on an extended break was not discussed wiht the actress. She felt this chapter was over and COVID-19 made her realize how important health is — in every sense of the word, not just physically.

Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings: Final Airdate

Alfonso’s character was introduced as Hope Williams in April 1983. She left the soap for two years in 1987 to appear in Falcon Crest. Then, she came back in April 1990 but was only there for a few months. Her final return was in 1994 and she has been on-screen ever since.

According to Soap Opera News, Hope Brady will be seen for the last time on October 15, 2020. However, that date could change depending on pre-emptions, news reports, sports events, etc.
