Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Lucas Adams Out – Tripp’s Last Air Date Revealed

Days Of Our Lives spoilers tease that Lucas Adams’ who plays Tripp Dalton on the soap, will be exiting the canvas of Days of Our Lives on August 27, 2019 in a storyline dictated exit. However, it will be an open-ended exit, meaning Tripp will not be killed off and if storylines dicate, he can return to Salem and Lucas can return to Days of Our Lives.

Days of Our Lives – The Character Of Tripp Dalton Arrived in 2017

The character of Tripp Dalton arrived on the Days of Our Lives canvas in 2017, being the long-lost son of mob princess Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols). He was thought to have died of pneumonia as an infant, in the process of being black marketed to be adopted, by his paternal grandfather, Martino Vitali (uncast character).

Ava had returned to Salem in January 2016, telling Steve that they had a child together and what had happened. This was a shock to Steve, considering he hadn’t even seen Ava in over twenty years and she had not told him before the two separated. Steve told his wife Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) of the news, and that he wanted to track down the baby and for one, make sure he really is his son, and also wanted assurance that his son with Ava hadn’t led the rough life growing up that he had. Steve would not have considered this search difficult, since he had been a spy with the ISA and also a private investigator in partnership with John Black (Drake Hogestyn).

Days of Our Lives – At First, Steve Followed A False Lead

Ava was desperate and kidnapped Kayla after Kayla convinced Steve that Ava was just playing him; with Kayla kidnapped, he was forced to work with Ava and so they embarked on the search for their son together. Unfortunately, the first lead they followed proved to be not only false, but devastating, causing Ava not only heartache but a psychotic break!

A man they tracked down from the black market adoption agency revealed that only five babies had been bought and sold during that timeframe, and only two were Caucasian and had died of pneumonia within weeks of being purchased. He had photographs of two baby boys and Ava recognized one as having been hers! Steve coldly told Ava the baby could have been his, or maybe not, but regardless there was nothing left tying them together. Ava went off the rails and tormented the Johnson family, ending up being murdered by a drunken Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) who smothered her to death.

Days of Our Lives – Steve And Ava’s Baby Lived, But Sadly Too Late For Ava To Know About

Unfortunately, the baby did live, but his loving adoptive mother Mrs. Dalton (uncast character) passed away when he was very young and young Tripp grew up with an abusive adoptive father Mr. Dalton (uncast character). In 2011 he went on a search for his biological parents after running away from home.

It took until March 2017 for Tripp to finally find Steve and the rest of his family, who came to Arizona to meet him. He had a misunderstanding about Ava’s death, thinking Steve was responsible, when in fact it was Joey, and he disowned Steve. He also came in contact with his mother’s cousin, Angelo Vitali (Angelo Tiffe) who aided him in receiving his inheritance from the Vitali family.

Days of Our Lives – Eventually, Tripp Accepted Kayla And Steve

Eventually, however, Tripp accepted first Kayla, and became close to her, and then Steve, who he was able to build a relationship with. Tripp donated his entire inheritance to Salem University Hospital.

Days of Our Lives – It Is Not Yet Known What Tripp’s Exit Storyline Will Be

It is not yet known what Tripp’s exit storyline will be, but Days of Our Lives viewers can assume it may be that he just decides to leave Salem to get away and heal from the traumatic experiences of the last few months, and perhaps some more traumatic experiences before Lucas’ last airdate.
