Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal returns galore for the new Peacock DOOL streaming series, Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem. However, one character will be returning with a brand-new face.

Days Of Our Lives Coming And Goings – Recasts Sonny Kiriakis

Sonny and Will (Chandler Massey) will be back on your screens in the new Beyond Salem mini-series that all stream on Peacock, but this time Sonny Kiriakis will be played by Zach Tinker rather than Freddie Smith. Tinker is best known to soap audiences as Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless. He is also the step-grandson of legendary comedian Mary Tyler Moore.

The last we saw of Sonny he was talking to Will via Zoom at Christmas time when Will visited Salem and Sonny remained in Arizona, where they had both moved for a job. No word on how they fit into the ISA caper that Beyond Salem will revolve around. However, they aren’t the only familiar characters who will be making a comeback for this special series.

Remember Leo Stark, the flamboyant man Sonny briefly dated when Will had amnesia? Well, Greg Rikaart will be bringing him back for the spin-off series. It turned out Leo was actually named Matthew and the son of John’s old flame, Diana Colville, who was originally played by General Hospital star Genie Francis and most recently played by Judith Chapman. Diana tried to claim her son was fathered by John, but that turned out to be a lie. Chapman and Rikaart are also known as the mother-son team of Gloria and Kevin on The Young and the Restless. Does that mean we’ll also see Chapman on Peacock?

Leann Hunley and Thaao Penghlis will also appear as Tony and Anna DiMera. We’ll also see Anna’s daughter, Carrie Brady and her husband, Austin Reed, played by Christie Clark and Austin Peck. You’ll also see other familiar Salem faces like Marlena (Deidre Hall), John (Drake Hogestyn), Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), Ciara (Victoria Konefal), Lani, Eli (Sal Stowers), and Paulina (Jackee Harry). The story will revolve around Billie Reed’s (Lisa Rinna) ISA mission. Stay tuned to Days of Our Lives weekdays to see how these characters all end up on one mini-series.
