Days Of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Veteran Returns, Two Newbies Cast

Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of April 15, 2024 reveal casting changes related to the memorial planned for the late Doug Williams and the actor who portrayed him, Bill Hayes.

So far we know that Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Deveraux), Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux), Martha Madison (Belle Brady), Brandon Beemer (Shawn Brady), Sal Stowers (Lani Grant), Lamon Archey (Eli Grant), and Victoria Konefal (Ciara Weston) have been tapped to appear on the special episode.

Also in attendance will be Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton, who is the last surviving original cast member), Stephen Schnetzer (Steve Olson), and Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler). Fans will also see Bryan Datillo (Lucas Horton).

Other cast members who will also attend the memorial include Jim Reynolds (Abe Carver), Jackée Harry (Mayor Paulina Price), Josh Taylor (Roman Brady), Stephen Nichols (Steve Brady), Mary Beth Evans (Dr. Kayla Brady), Suzanne Rogers (Maggie Horton Kiriakis), Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans), and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie Williams), who is Bill Hayes’ widow.

Susan Seaforth Hayes and Bill Hayes entertained fans for decades as a married couple in Salem. Their offscreen life reflected their onscreen roles, via their legendary Hollywood marriage.

DOOL Spoilers – Bill Hayes Played Doug Williams

Bill Hayes stared on the Peacock soap for over 50 years. He died at the age of 98. Hayes debuted on the daytime soap opera in February 1970.

At the time of his passing he had starred in more than 2,100 episodes. His final appearance as Doug Williams occurred on the December 22, 2023 episode.

Doug Williams was the father of Hope Williams (Kristian Alfonso). Alfonso was part of the soap supercouple known to fans as Bope. Peter Reckell played Hope’s partner Bo Brady.

Dool’s official Instagram account posted a photo of two newcomers, Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon. Reports indicate that Jimenez is the new Gabi Hernandez, a role last played by Camila Banus.
