NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal that there are several actors leaving the soap before the end of the year. So, who all is confirmed to be exiting, and when can we expect their final scenes to air? Keep reading to find out everything known about who is exiting and when.
Chandler Massey as Will Horton
DOOL spoilers confirm that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) is being written out of the soap opera. It came as a complete shock to the actor. He is a fan-favorite character and is half of the couple affectionately referred to as “Wilson.” Expect to see his final scenes in September 2020.
DOOL Spoilers: Freddie Smith as Sonny Kiriakis
Will’s on-screen husband, Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) is also confirmed to be leaving. Smith was actually the one that figured out “Wilson” was being written out of the soap opera. He did some digging around, contacted Massey, and then talked to a producer. He felt it wasn’t right to not be told he was being written out after nine years — and he’s right. He will also be leaving in September 2020.
Galen Gering as Rafe Hernandez
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is also leaving Salem. It will also come around the same time as Will and Sonny’s exits. We don’t know any details about how Rafe will go.
Will he lose David Ridgeway (Caleb and Kyler Ends)? Will he win custody and leave town with him? Could he go to prison for some crime or end up dying? So many possibilities.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Current Exits
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is leaving but will return in the summer to appear at Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) trial. Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) is leaving to get treatment for her psychosis in Florida. As for who else will be leaving, the list keeps growing. Let’s hope some of our favorites will stay.

I’m ready for Rafe to take a break for awhile. Playing a cop on Days comes at a cost, and the characters have to be dumbed down to increase the drama and tension. Rafe has suffered more than most in this department and maybe it’s time give the poor guy a rest. He deserves some happiness so I’m hoping he leaves town with David far from Salem. I do think that Sonny and Will deserve a rest too but selfishly I’d rather they stay in Salem. I’m hoping this unexpected shutdown will make the powers that be see they are still needed in Salem.
I want Gabi to leave Salem for good. Why do jake have to return as stefan.

I love the characters who are leaving this show,. Are they planning on bringing back past actors? They might be losing a lot of fans. Hopefully the story line will improve.
Please don’t write off “Will” We need him, Sonny & Rafe to stay!

Why are they writing off all the main characters? It’s going to be a boring Days of Our Lives they need to get rid of Eve, And Gwen They are boring and why are they taking Gabi away right when she is getting with Jake?!
Bring back Gabe, Will and Rafe they are good actors if a lot of the characters that I like are going Iam not going to watch this anymore

Too many great actors and actresses are leaving. Watched for almost 40 years. Unhappy about the
theme!
I have been a fan of DOOL for the 55 years. I know that the virus has impacted this… But with everyone leaving: Will, Sonny, Rafe, Gabi, Hope and Ciara- and bringing Sammi back.. I most like will be leaving, too. I don't feel that Sammi adds anything and I do not like her character at all.
In my opinion, the show was/is MUCH better without her! Get rid of her and keep the rest!
