Days Of Our Lives Comings & Goings: 4 Cast Members Fired In Shocking Shake Up Move

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate some shocking exits are on the horizon, as four cast members have been fired from the Peacock soap. CTS has all the details below.
Goodbye Johnny, Chanel, Tate, and Holly!
As per the Daily Mail, four actors are leaving Days of Our Lives, and they also happen to be two super couples. They include Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera), Raven Bowens (Chanel DiMera), Leo Howard (Tate Black), and Ashley Puzemis (Holly Jonas).
The only silver lining in this all is due to the show’s advanced filming schedule, fans won’t see these exits take place until late 2026 or potentially early 2027.
A Days of Our Lives spokesperson commented on the firings, stating, “While we don’t comment on individual contracts or casting decisions, we have tremendous respect and appreciation for the actors who bring these characters to life.”
They went on to say, “What may seem sudden is part of long-range storytelling decisions. Our goal is to balance the show’s rich history with where we’re headed creatively.”
The statement concluded with, “Due to our long tape-to-air gap, any changes won’t be on screen for some time.”
More On These Exit
Bowen has been on Days the longest, debuting as Chanel in March 2021, with Boatman following after the fact in August 2021. Bowen was a recast of Chanel, taking over from Precious Way.
Meanwhile, Puzemis has been playing Holly since October 2023, while Howard was also a recast, taking over the role of Tate from Jamie Martin Mann in April 2024.
There’s a lot more story to tell for these four characters, who are all struggling within their respective relationships.
As such, it’ll be interesting to see just how they end up leaving Salem – and if they end up leaving the little town together as a couple – when all is said and done.

I was getting tired of those characters anyway.
Holly and Tate? B O R I N G ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Chanel? Eh!! I like Johnny, but his character has been a real waste of talent! He has been used as a prop for Chanel and Paulina. I liked the father/son drama with EJ. The one redeeming quality has always been EJ’s love of his children, even when James Scott had the role. He loved his kids. It was sweet. I’d like to see more interaction between him and EJ. When Chanel is written out, please please please let Paulina go with her!!!

Yes, I agree with letting Holly and Tate go. They are not interesting, writer’s are at fault there. Same for Johnny, his lines are boring. But, if I am honest I believe the whole show has gotten stale.
Thats really too bad! They are all great on the show. Hate to see them go!
I feel bad about them leaving. Hope they don’t kill anyone off. Just leave Salem for whatever reason. Channel would love to get away from Johnny’s family.

I am glad to see Channel go, not Johnny..I like Tate and Holly.. Sophia needs to go….I think this tet is alot better than the OG….Who knows why DOOL decision.
I am glad they are all going to leave the show. Boring story lines for all of those characters!
This is not surprising, DOOL has done this many times before. I remember back in the 70’s when about 6 different actors/actresses were just let go……………Patty Weaver was one of them, of course, she went on to The Young and the Restless and did very well there. So many times Corday productions just do a “cleanup” of actors. It’s hard to take when so many are let go at once, but the show has continued to go on………………In it’s 61st year now. We fans get to see these people for such a long time and then poof, they are gone. It’s hard to see our family leave, I know a lot of you feel like you are visiting family 5 days a week, we will miss you, besst of luck to all four of you in your future.
