Days Of Our Lives’ Deidre Hall Lands Role On Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that Deidre Hall, who plays Marlena Evans on the Peacock soap, is slated to pull double-duty on another show. CTS has all the fun details about this story, down below.

Deidre Hall’s New Role

According to SoapSteph’s Daytime Dish newsletter, Hall is scheduled for a guest appearance in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

This will take place during Season 4 of the Paramount+ show, and Hall will be playing a psychiatrist (talk about typecasting!)

In all seriousness, the daytime drama star will appear in episode 7, which is titled “Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass”, so it sounds like Star Trek is just as excited to have Hall on the show as Days of Our Lives fans will be to see her! Hall’s show is set to air on Thursday, September 3.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ star, Anson Mount, who plays Captain Pike, revealed via a video interview that Hall’s episode was a ‘heavy lift’, and it was amazing to work with the soap star.

The series cast also has another daytime drama actor in it as Guiding Light alum, Paul Wesley (ex- Max Nickerson), who plays James T. Kirk.

Deidre Hall’s Resume

Hall has been playing the legendary Marlena Evans (on and off) on Days of Our Lives since 1976 and is best known in the land of soaps for this character.

Still, that wasn’t the actress’s first daytime drama gig, as she was also on The Young and the Restless from 1973 to 1975 playing the role of Barbara Anderson as a regular on the cast.

Hall also had a stint on primetime, playing the lead role of Jessie Witherspoon in the series Our House.

In addition, Hall has enjoyed a number of guest appearances on primetime for shows like Hotel and Murder, She Wrote. She’s also been nominated for a Daytime Emmy three times during her career in 1980, 1984, and 1985.
