Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest that fans are not excited over another possession story on Days of Our Lives. The original story caused some concern for fans years ago and so are not ready for a repeat. Are fans enjoying the story, or do they just want it to go away?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Twenty-Eight Percent Like It

In a recent Soap Opera Digest poll, fans were asked if they were excited about the possession story. Not surprisingly only twenty-eight percent of fans were excited about revisiting this storyline. Most fans remember the original story and the meaning behind it. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) have been through so much that they don’t need this in their life. John and Marlena’s entire relationship has been one of the saving the other. Shouldn’t John and Marlena be allowed to live happily for a while now, after all, the two of them are great grandparents. Why does this story need to be revisited after twenty-five years?

DOOL Spoilers – Seventy-Two Percent Say No

Days of Our Lives fans certainly are not shy about their opinion of the possession story. Years ago the story focused on “Father John” saving Marlena from the devil. Now we know that John isn’t a priest at all and never was. A lot of fans were not impressed at the time and aligned the story with evil. The original story was supposed to last for three months but ended up being a six-month story instead. Needless to say, Marlena’s glowing green eyes and levitation were very scary to some fans who simply could not watch. Those fans and possibly others are just not into this story.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Fans Want Love In The Afternoon

What it boils down to is Days of Our Lives fans want love in the afternoon, not possession. Soap operas are supposed to be an escape from real life and some fans just do not find this entertaining. What happened to love and romance? Where are the loving relationships? Why do we need another possession story with everything that is going on in the world right now? With the pandemic still hanging on, fans don’t want to see something depressing like the possession story. Fans don’t need someone else being saved from the devil. Days does not need another hero in this storyline either.

Will the possession storyline be over faster this time? Who will save Marlena this time? Is this story going to be continued once Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) have a child?
