Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Kate Roberts DiMera Was Put In An Induced Coma After Her Traumatic Brain Injury

Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that Kate was taken to Salem University Hospital after Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) had found her passed out on the floor of the DiMera mansion. She had made her way to their room where she had found the couple en delicto flagrante, Jake having been dumped previously by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) in a Kate disguise. She was injured then, having jumped out of Kristen’s moving car. It looked like someone had beaten Kate worse when they found her, likely Kristen back to finish her off!

Then as Days of Our Lives viewers will also recall, Kate was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and she was put into an induced coma to allow her brain to heal. Usually, when a patient is put into an induced coma, medical professionals have to give the patient another medication to reverse the coma and usually stay there with the patient.

However, in this week’s Days of Our Lives weekly preview, it appears that Kate comes out of her coma on her own, since Dr. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) who is handling her case is nowhere to be seen in the room, although Gabi and Jake are making out! Kate wakes up while Gabi and Jake are making out with a severe side effect – she’s blind!

DOOL Spoilers – Kate Roberts DiMera Is Scared

Days of Our Lives spoilers show that Gabi and Jake had reconciled after “Kate” dumped him for admitting that he was still attracted to Gabi. Kate hadn’t been pleased to see Gabi with her claws back into Jake but considering he had no idea that it wasn’t really her who dumped him, she took it pretty well.

Then after he found her on the floor and found out how serious her injuries were, he felt bad about it, and unbeknownst to Gabi, he told an unconscious Kate that he wouldn’t leave her side. Days of Our Lives viewers can see where Jake may have gotten a scare and realized even though he had gotten back together with Gabi, he still loved Kate as well.

In the preview, Gabi is sure that Jake will tell Kate that they got back together (although she already could tell that!) when she wakes up. They are actually in her hospital room making out when Kate does wake up, but even Gabi is worried when Kate starts talking and telling Jake that she can’t see! Kate is obviously scared even though she moves her eyes towards Jake and around from side to side and straight ahead, but she’s not saying her eyes are paralyzed, she’s saying she cannot see out of them!

Jake definitely takes notice and looks down at her with concern and will undoubtedly call Kayla or another doctor in to check her, after trying to calm her down. Perhaps he’ll try to get Kate to take into account the blindness may just be temporary!
