The NBC soap has a lot of popular pairings. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) are one. Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) are another. There is also Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) and her flavor of the month… since it changes so often.

There is also the iconic and legendary couple known as “Jarlena.” There are a few reasons why we are concerned that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) might be on their way out.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that we have seen very little of John in the past few months. In fact, his last major storyline was his brain aneurysm. He was inserted a bit into Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) murder mystery. Other than that, we have barely seen him.

As for Marlena, she is being used a bit but not in the way that we would like. She is a fan favorite and deserves her own storylines. Lately, we have just seen her added into other stories that center on other characters.

They deserve more money for their longevity, popularity, and sticking around even when the future of the soap was uncertain. They are also extremely loyal for having stuck to Days through all the changes over the years.
