Days Of Our Lives Extended 2026 Summer Preview: Johnny’s Shadiness, Public Health Crisis, Stephanie Shoots Someone

Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that the extended 2026 summer preview has been released. Fans can expect to see Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) conduct some shady acts, while Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) delivers her baby with some scary moments. Plus, Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) kiss, and so much more. Find out more about what’s going down in Salem this summer below.

The Pressure Is On EJ DiMera

Days of Our Lives extended 2026 summer preview opens with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) as he vows to continue the legacy and vision his father, Stefano, created.

Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) is shown next stating the DiMera name and company could be something better, as Johnny tells Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) that they have an opportunity to leave a family legacy to their children that is different from the one that was left for them.

As scenes shift, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is talking to Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), saying that if EJ finds out they are using DiMera money to pay Titan’s loans, they stand to lose everything. Will they take that chance?

Meanwhile, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) offers Philip and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) a pep talk, noting they have to stand together as a united front, or they could go down.

Looks like the summer will provide more DiMera versus Kiriakis feuding, as things heat up between the two families.

Lies, Lies, and More Lies!

As the Days summer preview rolls on, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is in a session with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord).

The therapist asks Cat if her relationship with EJ is personal or professional, as a clip of the two kissing flashes across the screen.

Back to Lexie, she pops out from the DiMera tunnels, as Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) asks what she’s hiding. Lexie notes that if she had something to hide, she wouldn’t come through the living room.

There’s also a clip of Lexie and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton), so will she confer with the crazy scientist about her condition?

Unfortunately, it looks like Kate and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) might be headed to Splitville, as he tells his wife he’s done with all her lies.

Speaking of lies, Johnny is shown on the phone stating he doesn’t want to be involved in ‘any of this’, as a clip has him shadily planting an open book on someone’s desk.

Romance In Salem

Days of Our Lives fans can expect more steamy sessions between their favorite super couples, as Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) get it on.

Plus, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) share a tender moment.

With that said, Belle and Chad will share their first kiss this summer, too, and sparks will fly!

In addition, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will share “I love yous”; however, it sounds like Xander will be in denial about his ex-wife’s feelings for her new beau, as he’ll believe she’s still in love with him.

Unfortunately, for fans of Gabi and Philip, a reunion doesn’t seem in the cards as he’ll let her know that even money can’t fix their relationship and what she broke.

Rachel Black’s Fear

Over at Bayview, a very emotional Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote) will worry that the doctors won’t be able to heal her, just like they weren’t able to help Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd).

Both Brady and Kristen will embrace their daughter, as she breaks down in tears. Elsewhere, Chanel will be concerned about how her cancer treatments are affecting her baby.

Still, it looks like there will be another public health scare, as Steve and Brady talk to Johnny in his apartment.

Steve tells Johnny, “If the tainted drugs are still out there, this could be a public health crisis.” As scenes shift, Theo is next to Johnny in a hospital bed as he asks, “What other heinous things are you covering up?”

Gwen Rizczech’s Rage

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) is also highlighted in the Days summer preview.

Gwen warns EJ that he may have stabbed her in the back, but she’ll be returning the knife!

Sarah pops up again at the hospital, talking to Xander as she tells her ex that she hopes she can stop him in time; this is when Xander warns her not to be in EJ’s crosshairs.

Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) will pop back in Salem this summer.

He’s shown in the promo as Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) asks him if he won’t make a deal with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering); maybe he’ll make a deal with him.

Interestingly enough, Gwen is in the background as Leo is talking to Dimitri.

Still, that’s not all! EJ is also shown raging at Kristen, as he learns (and confirms) that Kristen tried to murder Johnny.

More Salem Drama

There will be more hints about Salem’s public health crisis, as the promo continues.

Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) will tell Arianna “Ari” Horton (Vico Escorcia) that she doesn’t feel there’s anywhere safe in Salem anymore.

Plus, Lexie will hug Theo – and then lash out at EJ as she rages that he didn’t stop to think about what this would do to her.

Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) will also be seen this summer, as she refuses to believe that EJ is anything like his father, Stefano. In fact, she declares she won’t allow it to happen.

Stephanie Johnson Shoots An Innocent Civilian

Days fans can feel this coming, as it’s confirmed that Stephanie will shoot an innocent civilian. But who will it be?

There’s a clip that shows Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) breaking down at the hospital, and falling into Alex Kiriakis’s (Robert Scott Wilson) arms, when he asks where Kelsey Kiriakis is (her baby carrier, on the table, is empty).

Alex looks on in horror as he hugs Joy. Will Stephanie shoot little Kelsey by accident?

Then, a clip shows EJ firing Sarah after he tells her that ‘she’ doesn’t need your help.

What’s With The Tainted Pills?

A hand is shown with pills, as scenes shift to Holly and Tate Black (Leo Howard) arguing on a hospital bed.

Holly tells him, “Those pills aren’t mine,” and then she screams, “Get out!”

The next clip is of Chanel giving birth, with Kayla, Lani, Johnny, and Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) by her side.

Johnny notes that Chanel is bleeding, and Kayla clears everyone out of the room, as Chanel states how terrified she is.

Chad and Cat will have an explosive confrontation, as he’s learned that she’s been lying all along.

Cat tells Chad that she had reasons he’s unaware of, but Chad doesn’t want to hear it.

EJ walks into a hospital room with Lexie in a bed, as Theo and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) are by her side.

Abe immediately tells EJ to get out.

Final Moments

As the promo winds down, EJ angrily tells Lexie that everything he’s done, every sacrifice, has been for this family.

As he says this, a mirage of clips flash across the screen: Lexie collapsing, pills falling out of an envelope, as well as a man grabbing a blonde from the back.

The final scene is of Chad telling Belle that, “Whoever my dad is using to drop these breadcrumbs is still out there – and it’s better if we just don’t spread the word.”

As he says this, a clip of a box hitting a chessboard is shown, then a key is placed on the box.

The next scene is of someone looking at Chad talking to EJ via a tablet, and then the last is a chess piece moving.
