Days Of Our Lives Fall Preview: 60th Anniversary, Major Character Returns, EJ’s Lab Chaos, Rachel’s Danger, Salem Black Out

Days of Our Lives spoilers hint there are many exciting moments ahead for the Peacock soap as it gears up for some fall bombshells, along with a major milestone: 60 years of trials and tribulations in Salem. Head writers Jeanne Marie Ford and Paula Cwikly recently talked to TV Insider about what fans can expect in the weeks and months ahead.

Pulling Out All The Stops

In the interview, the co-head writers note they are pulling out all the stops for their 60th anniversary celebrations. The episode will showcase a gala that will honor Tom Horton (Macdonald Carey) and his impact on the little town.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Days milestone event if some favs didn’t return, so fans can expect to see the likes of, Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow), Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves), Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), Will Horton (Chandler Massey), Steve Olson (Stephen Schnetzer), Marie Morton (Maree Cheatham), Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers), Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), Andrew Donovan (Colton Little), and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).

In addition, the writers tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will cause drama as the new hospital owner and organize some mysterious experiments in a personal lab.

Fall Fun – More Storyline Spoilers

In addition to EJ’s lab experiments, the fallout of his shooting, and learning that Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) was behind it, will continue to unfold.

The writers tease that before winter hits, Rachel will have another mental health meltdown that places her life in danger. In addition, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) won’t be able to deal with the truth about Rachel, and her health will take a stunning turn.

EJ will also be at the center of a love triangle. Word has it, Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) will “pursue” EJ (for ISA reasons); however, as Chad DiMera has caught feelings for her, this will cause massive friction between the brothers and conflicted emotions for Cat and Chad.

Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) will remain focused on getting DiMera Enterprises back, but this mission places the entire family in danger.

In addition, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will inch closer to the truth about Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black’s (Leo Howard) baby; however, this will push Sophia to her limits.

Finally, the writers hint about secrets being spilled during a night that Salem blacks out; so, it sounds like a chilling fall up ahead for DOOL fans!
