Days Of Our Lives Updates  -COVID-19 Pandemic Halts Production

In March 2020, DOOL and nearly every other production came to a screeching halt when the nation went into quarantine. At the time, many were predicting that it would just be a couple of weeks. However, others wouldn’t commit to any return dates because of the unknown. It turned out that the latter was a good call because the lockdown lasted more than three months.

DOOL Spoilers – Co-EP In No Rush

It was previously reported that co-executive producer Greg Meng stated that they were not in any rush to get back to work. He explained that the worst thing to happen would be going back to the set, then having to deal with yet another shutdown.

Speaking of Meng, he is reportedly no longer with Corday Productions, but that story is still developing.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Soaps Struggle With Production Safety Rules

Days of Our Lives and the other soaps will have to adhere to certain safety regulations. The Bold and the Beautiful has already resumed production and is handing the new rules well. Even though it is quite different and creates challenges, the cast and crew are optimistic about forging ahead with revised storylines and improvising love scenes.

The NBC soap will have to do the same when they get back to work. However, no specific safety plans for DOOL have been discussed yet.

DOOL Spoilers – Filming Restart Date Announced

According to Deadline, the NBC soap is planning to resume production on September 1. Considering that there are only enough new episodes to last until October, we might be without the Salem shenanigans for a short time. However, it all depends on how quickly they can get filmed episodes ready for broadcast.

As for The Young and the Restless, they are aiming to resume production on July 13. Meanwhile, General Hospital is hoping to get back to work in mid-July.
