Days Of Our Lives Freddie Smith Renews Contract

We’ve got good news for Freddie Smith fans. The handsome actor has just announced that he is renewing his contract with Days of Our Lives. That means fans will definitely get to see more of his character, Sonny Kiriakis, on the small screen in the near future.

According to reports, Freddie made the big announcement on Monday, May 21. And he made it no secret that he was very excited about the contract renewal, too. As many fans can remember, he brought home the award for Outstanding Younger Actor in the Emmys back in 2015. He told Soaps in Depth, “I signed (for) another year. The storyline’s so good, the show’s so good…Everyone ‘s just crushing it. I’m just happy to be a part of the machine. I want to go as long as I possibly can.”

Right now it doesn’t look like Freddie has any other projects in the pipeline, which means that he can put all of his focus and energy in making Sonny great on Days of Our Lives. The last time we saw him in a different television series was the 2013 short-lived show, Addicts Anonymous. Either way, it’s without a doubt that fans are not complaining that Freddie is staying put. They love him just the way he is and surely don’t want to see him go anywhere anytime soon.

But then again, Freddie is yet to make any comments as to what’s in store for Sonny. Fans will just have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
