Days of Our Lives Judi Evans Contracts COVID-19, Adding To Her Horrific Hospital Experience

Days of Our Lives Judi Evans Contracts COVID-19, Adding To Her Horrific Hospital ExperienceDays of Our Lives star Judi Evans (Adrienne Kiriakis/Bonnie Lockhart) was recently hospitalized for serious injuries stemming from a horse fall. Then, doctors discovered she had a blood clot in her lung. Then, she nearly had to have her legs amputated due to more blood clots being discovered. Now, she has contracted COVID-19, often referred to as coronavirus.

Horseback Fall Causes Serious Injuries

The DOOL actress fell from a horse and it led to her being rushed to the hospital. She ended up with serious injuries and had to remain hospitalized. If that were not traumatic enough, 2020 would turn out to be the year of medical nightmares for Judi.

DOOL: Multiple Blood Clots

It was reported a few weeks ago by SoapHub that doctors discovered a blood clot in her lung. It required surgery. It was stated that her grandparents died of a similar condition and it might not have been discovered if it weren’t for the horseback fall.

More recently, blood clots were discovered in both of Judi’s legs. She nearly had to have both of those limbs amputated on two different occasions. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg for the actress.

Major Surgery Mistake

The Days of Our Lives fan-favorite went into surgery for one of her legs and that is when things took a painful turn. The medical staff “forgot” to numb her leg and began slicing into it while she was fully conscious with zero numbing of the area.

Days of Our Lives Star Contracts COVID-19

Judi’s publicist, Howie Simon gave fans an update on Judi’s condition. Unfortunately, in addition to everything else, she has tested positive for COVID-19.

“[Judi] contracted COVID-19 while [in the hospital] and she had what is known as the COVID blood clots in her legs and she nearly had both legs amputated on two different occasions. She had mild symptoms – fever, aches, a cough, and the blood clots.”

Judi Evans In Good Spirits

However, Simon reported on his Facebook page that despite everything, Judi is in good spirits and is thankful for everyone’s prayers.

“…she was in good spirits and back to Judi ‘humor’ despite all these spiraling turns of events. She has said she appreciates all the prayers for her and they’ve helped her mentally, physically, and spiritually!”

We hope that there are no more medical problems for Judi, that she recovers fast from everything, and gets to go home soon!
