A Mermaid for Christmas will be released in just a few weeks. As soap fans may have heard, many daytime stars will appear in the film, including Arianne Zucker, Nadia Bjorlin and Kyle Lowder. Discover what the film is about and learn about the trailer that was just released.

About A Mermaid for Christmas

A brief description of the holiday movie was penned on IMDB. It states that the film mixes classic Christmas themes with a fantasy element that only a fairy-tale character like a mermaid can provide.

Executive producer Michael Caruso also had this to say about the flick, according to Soaps.com:

“We are excited to team with California Pictures to bring A Mermaid for Christmas. to all major domestic and international film markets to share the magic of the film worldwide. So that our U.S. audience may enjoy A Mermaid for Christmas., WFL Productions are releasing it for a limited time this year during the holiday season exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. We hope that people everywhere enjoy watching the film as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Daytime Stars in New Movie

The executive producers of A Mermaid for Christmas include Michael Caruso, Barbara Caruso and Kyle Lowder (ex-Rex Brady, Days of Our Lives).

There are also a number of daytime stars that were cast in the film. This includes DOOL stars Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker) and Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane). Lowder will also be playing a role in the holiday movie. Actors from other soaps are also involved in the film. This includes General Hospital actors Kathleen Gati (Dr. Liesl Obrecht) and Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) as well as One Life to Live alum Jessica Morris (Jennifer Rappaport).

It definitely sounds like a soap-studded event!

Preview of Christmas Movie

A preview clip of A Mermaid for Christmas teases that it will be a fun flick to see with some amusing scenes. In one, it is asked why someone is putting a mermaid in a home swimming pool. Another scene shows that Zucker’s character is a fantasy-land Grinch. Lowder plays a man who takes out his frustration on plastic pink flamingos.

However, it isn’t all about humor. As with most movies, this one spreads the message of magic and we are certainly looking forward to seeing it when it premieres on Amazon Prime on November 26.
