Chloe leaving Salem came as a surprise to some Salemites. The person most affected was Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Even though he was saddened to see his friend go, he also understood. Being an opera singer, Chloe had to go where the jobs took her. This time, it had to travel all the way to New York.
According to an interview published in CBS Soaps in Depth, Bjorlin hinted that Chloe could possibly return. She stated to fans that this was not goodbye. Instead, it was see you next time.

The Days of Our Lives actress also talked about the lack of storylines for her character prior to her exit.
“I didn’t feel like it was a permanent thing, and they didn’t really present it that way. They just said, ‘We’re just not going to pick up your contract until we figure out what to do with you.’”

It is interesting that Chloe wasn’t more involved in the Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) storyline. Especially since she was masquerading around Salem as Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). As fans know, Nicole and Chloe used to be best friends. Chloe was even raising baby Holly after Nicole’s death. The only time the two really interacted when the real Nicole returned was when Chloe was blamed for Holly’s “death.”

DOOL spoilers tease that is one storyline that Bjorlin would have liked to see develop further. That is Brady and Chloe as a potential couple.
“I regret that the idea of Chloe and Brady’s romance wasn’t explored because I feel like they have such great history. I actually only started to work with Eric Martsolf the last few months, and I really enjoyed it. But then they decided to write me out.”
