Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest that the land of Salem has exploded with drama this sweeps month.
As viewers remain on the edge of their seats, the streamlining service that airs the soap not only revealed how committed they are to the show but offered some teases about “what’s to come” during the start of its 60th season.
DOOL Spoilers: NBC/Peacock Executive Michael Sluchan Comments On Commitment
NBCUniversal/Peacock held an event recently at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California. This was a part of the Winter TV Critics media tour.
Soap Hub was on the scene and talked with NBC/Peacock EVP, Current Scripted Programming & Limited Series, Michael Sluchan.
During the chat, Sluchan stated that NBC/Peacock is “thrilled” with the soap’s performance on the streamlining service.
He also notes that asking DOOL’s fanbase to change the way they watched their favorite daytime drama may have been a lot to ask; however, the audience showed up in a big way by moving over to Peacock.
Sluchan reveals that the show is a “top performer” on the streaming service and that the organization is “very much” behind DOOL.
Days Spoilers: Let The 60th Anniversary Celebrations, Begin!
Sluchan also states during his talk, that DOOL fans are “incredibly” supportive throughout the soap’s “ups and downs”.
The NBC/Peacock executive goes on to state that the streaming service is doing its best to honor the daytime drama’s legacy. He notes that they have support from the soap in all departments, including marketing and publicity, and he adds that Days has “such a great cast”.
Sluchan also acknowledges the move from cable to Peacock was a massive change for the show, especially after being with NBC for 57 years.
This November, Day’s 60th anniversary season will begin. The executive reveals that filming for the new season has already begun, as the show tapes so far in advance.
He teases that NBC/Peacock has already learned some storylines that will unfold, and they seem very “exciting”. Sluchan hints that some storylines will be both “forward-thinking” and reflect “classic” DOOL themes, too.

Days need to fire Corday & get a producer that will never abuse any of the women on the show. I’m surprised that Deidre Hall & Jackie Harry are standing in that picture. Whatever happened to the Me Too movement?
Of course Peacock execs are thrilled about the popularity of DOOL on their platform. DOOL fans that wanted to continue to watch their soap had to subscribe to Peacock in order to follow what has been free to see for 57 years. Now that I have subscribed to Peacock, I have realized how much I like it because Peacock offers a lot to watch. It’s too bad that I have to pay out more than my usual cable bill to see it.
I have watched Dool, for as long as it’s been on the air. I’m very disappointed lately with the stories . The baby kidnapping thing is dragged out to the point I’m tired of watching. Now since you fired Ari Zucker, for standing up for herself and other women I don’t want to watch it anymore. You should protect your actor/actress instead of someone who has no respect for women!
