Norma Michaels played the role of Mrs. Lang in 2010 and has passed away at the age of 95 at her home in Palm Springs, California.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Norma Michaels was an actress for 60 years. She had many roles in film and television, including the NBC soap Days of Our Lives, where she played the role of Mrs. Lang. However, she did take a break from acting in the 1980s to work as a therapist.
Norma peacefully passed away from natural causes at her home in Palm Springs, California on the morning of January 11.
Days of Our Lives News – Norma Michaels’ television acting career
Michaels was first seen in an acting role in 1954 on The George Gobel Show, a role that kickstarted an acting career that saw her in dozens of roles in movies and television.
Among her many roles in television were a number of popular series, including The Jack Benny Program, Dr. Kildare, Kojak, The Bill Cosby Show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Highway to Heaven, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Ally McBeal, Gilmore Girls, Boston Legal, E.R., King of Queens, Modern Family and more.
Norma is probably best known for portraying an elderly woman, including her role in King of Queens as Josephine, alongside Kevin James and Leah Remini, who played Doug and Carrie Heffernan. Her most recent television appearances have been in Life in Pieces, Angie Tribeka and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

DOOL News Norma Michaels – Character actress in movies
A great character actress, she also starred in several movies, including Don’t Mess with The Zohan, The Zodiac Killer, Acts of Mercy, Big Shots, Wedding Crashers and Bad Ass.
Michaels was in the award-winning film, Hello My Name is Doris, where she played the mother of Sally Field’s character, Doris Miller. Her final role was Marlene in High & Outside: A Baseball Noir in 2018.
Norma Michaels is survived by her close friend and long-time manager, Jasper Cole, his husband Dennis Turrone and a number of cousins. We offer sincere condolences to all Norma’s loved ones, friends and former colleagues in television and film.
