NBC Days of our Lives spoilers and updates reveal that busy Brandon Barash (Jake Lambert) has a new short film out called The Mourning Hour and you definitely don’t want to miss his star turn.

Nowadays we can see the handsome and talented actor play Jake Lambert on DOOL, a very different role from his past character Stefan DiMera. Does anyone else like Jake a tad bit more than Stefan? For one thing, the character is wildly different, from his mannerisms and speech down to his wardrobe. Not to mention the width of his wallet!

It seems like Barash is enjoying the new character as well, sinking his teeth into the complexities of pauper Jake who has just learned he is a modern-day Salem prince.

Days of our Lives Updates – You Don’t Want To Miss Brandon Barash In The Mourning Hour

Barash’s new flick can be seen on The Reel Women‘s Network. The movie is set in the ’50s and centers on widow Virginia Bakely. Barash plays the character’s dead husband and once she learns of his demise she finds herself on a journey of reinvention. Multitalented Shevaun Kastl stars as Virginia and she wrote The Mourning Hour as well.

Barash spoke to Soap Opera News about the film saying, “I love supporting Independent Films. You really get to get in there and explore these characters and these relationships from all sides. Shevaun wrote a great script. The story that came out of her soul was beautifully poignant.”

DOOL Spoilers – Who Is Jake Lambert After All?

After much speculation, Jake turns out to be not Stefan, not a Dr. Rolf sim, nor an interloper. He is, gets this, a baby that Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) birthed with no memory of the event!

In other words, Jake is Stefan’s identical twin. It has been explained that Vivian’s manservant Ivan Marais was present at the birth and made the decision to not tell Vivian about the extra baby, and at the same time give him away. Anyone else hoping that Vivian tears Ivan a new one, chews him up and spits him out?
