Days of our Lives spoilers divulge the happy news that Drake Hogestyn (John Black) has shared some very good news with his fans on his Insta. The actor is expanding his horizons by becoming a member of the Hallmark family!

He announced that he is set to appear in the upcoming Christmas movie, Christmas Tree Lane which also stars Alicia Witt and Andrew Walker. Congratulations Drake, we can’t wait to see you in your new flick!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – What Is Next For John Black In Salem?

Days of our Lives has a certain distinction from its American soap counterparts during the last few months of coronavirus induced interruptions. The soap films so far in advance that the show has not had to resort to airing repeats. The other three sudsers, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital have all shown encore episodes after filming was shut down in March.

DOOL is expected to begin filming on September 1 and to be able to show original content without interruption.

Right now John Black has his hands full with his wife Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) granddaughter Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) who is living with them and he has been a shoulder for his buddy Patch Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to cry on. Will John be getting a front-burner story of his own in the near future? It has been a while since we last saw the adventuresome tough guy John Black take a big risk!
